ESP
English for Special Purposes Foundation (ESPF) is a non-government organisation that aims to enhance the English speaking capacity of people in order to promote social development and reduce isolation. It’s mission is to provide the highest standards of teaching English as well as organising cultural activities to complement this learning.
Mongol National TV
Founded in 1967, Mongol National Television is the longest running television station in Mongolia. It is currently the only television station that broadcasts throughout regional Mongolia and attracts an audience of up to 80% of the population This year MNTV has changed from being a government-run channel to Mongolia’s first public television station. Mongolian National Television has relationships with many international stations including CCTV (China Central TV), DW (Deutsche Welle, in Germany), NHK (Japan Broadcasting Organisation) and ABU (Asian Broadcasting Union). The network is also keen to extend its educational broadcasting by transmitting VoiceBox to young people across the country. This is in line with the Mongolian Government’s Action Plan 2004-2008’, which aims “Expand and improve the quality of English language teaching…” and encourages the “… production and broadcasting of educational programs for teaching English language…”
AYAD
The Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development (AYAD) program places skilled Australians on assignments in developing countries throughout Asia and the Pacific. Youth Ambassadors use their skills and expertise to actively contribute to international development. The AYADs are funded by the Australian Agency for International development (AusAID). The program has been running successfully for the past 8 years with over 400 Australians working internationally every year.
